The ER Type coilover system features large external reservoirs front and rear, separate rebound and compression adjustment and a twin-piston design. The external reservoir holds more oil than conventional coilovers allowing the damper to operate longer before overheating. Additionally, the external reservoirs also house the secondary piston, which allows for adjustment of compression. This is the perfect coilover system for the person who wants to fine-tune their setup for serious track competition.

The Camaro ER Type coilover from BC Racing Is the perfect setup for the dedicated track racer.  ER stands for External Reservoir. This series includes all the same features of the BR series along with the RM series, with the key difference between the ER and the others being an External Reservoir. The External Reservoir holds many advantages over the other series coilovers that have only an Internal Reservoir. They feature BC Racing's 30 way damping system with independent compression/ rebound adjustments and can be fully customized. Ride height is separately adjusted along with separately adjustable spring pre load. Swift Springs can be an added on option to any application as well as rear extenders. These ER Series coilovers are ideal for drivers that require complete customization and adjust-ability to finely tune for race applications.

External Reservoir:
An external reservoir for a coilover can serve many key features when taking your car to the track. One of the main features would be the fact that there is much more oil capacity present. With the external reservoir in place, there is an extra compartment to store fluids. This provides a significant increase in oil capacity, which will take longer for all of it to heat up. This better distributes the heat that the strut will make when in full operation. This will also lower the peak temperature that the oil will reach and permits it to be run longer before overheating. When oil heats up, it changes in viscosity and effects how efficiently it can function due to a variation in damper rates. Controlling the oil temperature can directly relate to controlling the damper consistency. More damper consistency will improve handling on road and track applications while being much more predictable.


Damper Adjustment w/ Dual Piston Design:
The ER Series Coilover is a perfect solution for those who drive their vehicle on the track often and want the most out of their suspension. The 30 way damping system on the coilovers feature a separate knob for both compression and rebound. This is possible due to the external reservoir and dual piston design. The strut body itself houses a piston and enables rebound adjustment at the top of the strut. In the reservoir is another piston that allows for adjustment of compression. This feature is for the drivers that want to dial in their exact needs. Compression damping allows you to adjust how the car's weight rolls onto its front tires under braking while the rebound damping allows you to adjust how the car responds as you come off the brakes. Being able to finely tune your compression/rebound settings can aid in being able to get on the power sooner out of a corner and maximize corner exit speed for the next straight.

Height Adjustment:
The height on the strut is separately adjustable for a customizable ride height to your own liking. This means no preset ride height and you get to choose how high or low you want it. Choose to adjust your height to near stock, or drop it down to the ground. The patented concave lower locking ring helps keep your ride height adjustments locked in and prevents any unwanted adjustment changes. Because of the separate adjustment for height, your strut travel will remain the same no matter your ride height. This effectively keeps the performance at it's highest level regardless of your preference of height
